What is Hemp?

Hemp is a fast-growing flowering plant that is found in the wilds of the northern hemisphere and has been cultivated as a crop throughout the world. Its seeds, stalk and leaves are edible, and like cotton it can be spun into strong fiber for many uses, including rope and clothing.  The safe use of hemp spans thousands of years across many civilizations and has hundreds of years of recorded use in the US, and for many decades leading scientists touted its benefits.  So how did the use of this well known, popular and effective botanical fade out? Why is hemp experiencing a resurgence in our time, and what is has fueled this new awareness?

Science and the understanding of hemp has grown and in US.  The legal sale of “industrial hemp,” which has no psychoactive properties, is well established.  Hemp oil, hemp seeds and hemp supplements are widely available for consumption.  Industrial hemp is legally cultivated throughout the world, including in the US.

What is less known today is that hemp, as a whole food or full spectrum supplement, (“nutritional hemp”) is highly nutritious, containing an array of healthy phytocompounds, terpenes, amino acids, B vitamins, omega fatty acids and proteins, among other nutrients.

We have combined the goodness of nutritional hemp with other scientifically validated materials to create HempFusion™ full spectrum phytocompound supplements, products that address sleep, stress, digestion and energy. All our products are strictly focused on the health, wellness and supporting properties of phytocompounds  from nutritional hemp.

The cultivation of hemp dates back to 10,000 years, with the health benefits being recorded as far back as 5000 years ago!

HempFusion™ products make it safe and convenient to benefit from the healthy botanical active compounds found in hemp with utmost confidence.  Our products are safe, tested, certified, nutritious and convenient.

Once again, the scientific community is touting the wellness benefits of hemp. Medical researchers, clinical studies and anecdotal reports are creating a groundswell of interest in phytocompound science for human health. Interestingly, the US government holds a patent on cannabinoids and the NIH has conducted many hundreds of studies demonstrating the great promise of these nutritional elements as a natural alternative in supporting human health.  We are excited to be a part of the ongoing reemergence of this important plant through our nutrition products.
